Olodum is a cultural group based in the city of Salvador de Bahía, the state capital of Bahia, Brazil. As cultural activities it proposes activities for the most part around music; Also offers productions of Afro dance theater, singing, choir, cultural computing, and musical activities for children. Founded in 1979, its stated objectives are to combat racism, promote self-esteem and pride among Afro-Brazilians, and fight for the civil rights of all marginal groups
